State Rep. David Allen Welter toured TransCanada's Sandwich Compressor Station today, joined here by Kendall County Board Chairman Scott Gryder and Kendall County Board Member Matt Prochaska. TransCanada is one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies, with a natural gas pipeline that runs through the 75th District.

State Rep. David Allen Welter met with constituents at the American Legion in Sheridan on Thursday evening, joined by State Sen. Sue Rezin, R-Morris, neighboring Representative Jerry Long, R-Streator, and Deputy House Minority Leader Tom Demmer, R-Dixon.

Rep. David Allen Welter participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for LyondellBasell's new administration building on Tuesday, which will house the company's general offices, control room, laboratory and maintenance shop. LyondellBasell is excited to break ground on this nearly $55.2-million-dollar investment to community stakeholders.

State Rep. David Welter joined community leaders and local residents on Wednesday at the newly remodeled McDonald's located at 284 N. Front St. in Braidwood as the owner and staff celebrated their grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting, cake cutting and reception.
The district office staff of State Rep. David Welter, R-Morris, and State Rep. Lindsay Parkhurst, R-Kankakee, jointly offer Traveling Office Hours to residents of the 75th and 79th Districts at the Coal City Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month to assist with questions and concerns regarding legislation or state programs and services.

July Traveling Office Hours will be held on July 10 at the Coal City Public Library, located at 85 N. Garfield Street. No appointment is necessary. Please call Rep. Welter's office at (815) 416-1475 with questions.

In observance of Independence Day, our district office in Morris will close at Noon on Tuesday, July 3 and remain closed on Wednesday, July 4.
